Detailed description

About the Champagne tour departing from Paris

Meet your Sommelier in central Paris at Place d’Italie around 8 a.m. After a 1.5 hours safe drive in a air-conditionning comfortable van with max 8 people, you will arrive to your first stop in Reims city, to visit the famous Cathedral were kings coronations were held. You will then start with the first Champagne tasting in a Maison de Champagne (Moët & Chandon, Pommery, Taittinger, Mumm, Mercier or Veuve Clicquot) and visit the reputed chalk caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will learn about the history of Champagne, the grapes used for Champagneand the making-process etc. 

Your guide and certified sommelier will then drive you across the Champagne vineyards till the charming village of Hautvillers, Dom Perignon monk headquarter, where you will experiment your second tasting in a magic scenery.

After lunch time, you will take The Champagne Road for a lovely drive around the Champagne countryside and stop in the middle of the vineyards where your Sommelier will explain to you the terroirs, the vines, the biodynamic process… .

Finally, you will meet an authentic family winegrowers for the third and last Champagne tasting of the day with at least 3 Champagne tastings. 
Return to central Paris by 7pm.
