If you want to learn more about Wine, you are in the right place! During a half day we will show you the best of Champagne and its sparkling wine on board of our air-conditioning comfortable van.
We will meet in front of the 5, Avenue de Champagne in Epernay, easily accessible by train from Paris and Reims.
During the 3 hours we will spend together, we will:
– Visit a family wine estate in the heart of Champagne, understand the making process of Champagne and enjoy 3 delicious different Champagne
– Stop in the lovely village of Hautvillers where Dom Perignon used to live
– Chill out in the UNESCO vineyards of Champagne and take beautiful pictures
– Stop at the Avenue de Champagne headquarter of the prestigious Moët & Chandon or Perrier Jouet
End of the tour around 5pm at the Avenue de Champagne/Epernay train station, direct to Paris, Reims or Chalon en Champagne.
This is a must do experience, you will remember forever. The experience can be privatise for special events as Hen/stag party, birthday party, team building (up to 24 guests).
1:55pm - Avenue de Champagne in Epernay
Your guide will meet you at 1:55pm at the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay, Unesco site.
Epernay is the second capital city of Champagne. We will have a small walk in the Avenue de Champagne with its 200Millions bottles underground.
Winery visit and tastings
We will stop at an authentic qualitative family wine maker. You will learn about the grapes used for Champagne, the making-process and taste at least 3 delicious Champagne.
Hautvillers, the cradle of Champagne wines
We will then take The Champagne Road for a lovely drive around the Champagne countryside. Your guide is an experimented guide or a certified sommelier. He will drive you across the Champagne vineyards explain the terroirs, the vines, the biodynamic process, till the charming village of Hautvillers, Dom Perignon monk headquarter.

. Hotel pick-up and drop-off . If you privatise the tour, hotel pick-up is included around Epernay.
. Gratuities: never obligatory but always welcome

. We visit various and different wineries everyday according to availability. All the wineries , we work with are carefully selected by our head Sommelier and are long term partners.
. Legal minimum drinking age is 18 years old
. Children or non drinkers guests can join the tour. They will have to buy a non drinker ticket with a 20euros discount on the regular ticket. Please contact us to get the non drinker ticket. Please let us know before the number of children joining the tour to arrange the safety seats which are limited in numbers.
. The tour involves a small easy walk but the medieval wineries have foot steps and no elevator. The van can fit a wheelchair in the back.
. Please look up the weather forecasts before the tour as Burgundy can be hot in the Summer and rainy and during Winter very cold. Cellar temperatures are always around 50F/10C. Jaket, umbrella, good shoes are recommended.
